We are thrilled to announce our Student Profile of the Month!

Congratulations to Molli Watts-Siely!

Molli is a school based trainee who works for Osmi Australia and is currently completing a BSB30120 – Certificate III in Business.

Here are the insights she shared about her training experience and how she has applied the knowledge to her professional life.

Q: What does your role entail?
A:
My role is an Administration Assistant with OSMI Australia, a wind farm developer based in Mirboo North, South Gippsland. I manage administration and employment enquiries and maintain our stakeholder databases, while also assisting in cultural activities at the wind farm.

Q: What skills have you gained through your traineeship that you can directly apply into your workplace?
A:
My training has made me adapt to the systems we use at work, and I have learnt to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders and team members.

Q: What aspects of your training have brought you the greatest enjoyment thus far?
A: So far, I have enjoyed working on the units that require writing and structuring documents and learning how to formally write an email. This aspect has been crucial in assisting me to action my responsibilities in my workplace.

Q: What advice can you give anyone who is thinking about undertaking a traineeship?
A: If you’re keen to start your career and want to start working but you aren’t sure what step to take next, I would defiantly recommend undertaking a traineeship / apprenticeship. There are so many options available. It’s also an option to complete your schooling while also working if you want to. Take every opportunity that’s given to you!

Q: How has your traineeship experience influenced your short-term and long-term career goals?
A:  While only 6 months into my traineeship, I have been given various opportunities working in the energy industry. I have developed excellent networking skills and made connections with multiple stakeholders. This traineeship has defiantly impacted my ability to build relationships and see what opportunities are out there. It has also helped to boost my confidence in being employed in a workplace.

Q: How did you find our Online Virtual training – is it something you would recommend?
A: I prefer online training as its easy to access from wherever you are located and it’s much more inclusive and efficient. Make sure to use the most of your teachers and ask questions!

Q: Upon completion, do you plan to further your studies?
A: Upon completion, I am leaning towards the administration field and potentially looking to further my tertiary education. However, I am still uncertain which pathway I would like to undertake long-term.

Q: How did you find the working relationship between yourself and Integrity Business College?
A:
I enjoy having Frances as my teacher and I think she really utilises the most of her time effectively between each student. I understand what I am doing with each unit, and I am able to ask questions when I need to.

It’s been fantastic watching Molli progress through her traineeship and develop her skills in the workplace. We look forward to seeing where Molli goes in the future.
